GPMedicals presents general practitioners with a new opportunity.

We can enable you to offer routine private medicals, health checks and assessments to your NHS patients - a new income opportunity for you.

Many patients want some sort of routine check up that is more frequent and comprehensive than can be provided by the NHS and would like their trusted doctor to do it.

The NHS terms of service prevent GPs from charging their patients fees for non NHS services. However, there have always been a number of familiar exceptions such as life assurance, diving or driving medicals and it is also legitimate for them to receive fees for carrying out private screening examinations, even on their own patients, when working at private commercial centres. This is because-

Schedule 5 Regulation 24(f)(ii) of the NHS Regulations states that you
"will be able to accept fees for attending and examining (but not
otherwise treating) a patient at the request of a commercial,
educational or not for profit organisation.."
The purpose should be
to produce a report (which is of course the norm for any private medical), the purpose of which is not specified.

Therefore NHS general practitioners are allowed to carry out routine examinations on their registered patients and charge a fee if it is at the request of a commercial organisation like GPMedicals.

When any of your patients contact us, we will make you a formal request which you cab keep on record) to carry out an examination. You will be able to perform the examination, compile a report and charge your patient an appropriate fee, easily, fairly and legitimately.

Why not make your patients aware of GPMedicals as a new service for
them to consider.
